Get set for the latest tech, the greatest speakers, the most hype, and more at CES 2025 which will be held – as ever – in Las Vegas, Nevada from January 7th-10th in 2025.
The major news? For starters, it’s going to be even bigger! Once called “The Consumer Electronics Show” – and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (a trade organization that tracks consumer technology trends and sales) – it’s expected that the event will fill the entire Las Vegas Convention Center (and other venues!) for the first time since 2020. Though potential attendance figures aren’t available yet, last year 138,789 attendees and 4,312 exhibitors were onsite, a notable increase from 2023.
Early chatter indicates that there will be plenty of foreign companies on hand and Artificial intelligence will be one of the key buzzworthy topics. Also watch for new laptops with upgraded processors and AI capabilities, bathroom appliances, massage chairs, and plenty of wearable items. And did I mention AI? Yes, AI, AI, AI.
In fact, Jenson Huang, CEO of the chipmaker Nvidia, will be one of the keynote address speakers this year. That company is now a multi-TRILLION dollar corporation, and he’ll be alongside plenty of other chipmakers (Qualcomm, et al), who may unveil something new. “You are going to see innovations driving the next wave of discovery across the show floor from healthcare to mobility,” said Consumer Technology Association President Kinsey Fabrizio during a recent press conference. Believe it.
As ever, what’s also important are the meetings and deals that vendors, distributors, and retailers do behind the scenes. Often, what happens at the event will impact what’s happening in the marketplace before the end of the year. Many of the products that vendors show distributors and retailers won’t be announced until the summer – at least – and they’ll be in the marketplace in time for the major holidays. It’s expected that hundreds of billions of dollars of tech products will be ordered during such meetings at CES.
Something else to watch out for at CES 2025 is a new area for start-ups to show off their wares in an area known as Eureka Park. The floors will have specific areas of interest and will include such subjects as health and sports technology, home, IoT, and places where big companies like Sony, Samsung, and more can show off their new products.
“Come look for us, as we would like to do business with you in 2025 – especially if you’re a China-based company or are an authorized electronics firm in the U.S.,” says Alan Lee, CEO of Maisel & Ryland.
Yes, we’ll be there at CES 2025 too. So come find us…or we’ll find you!
